I believe it is important to understand one self and know his or her personality.
I took two psychometric tests to determine my personality profile;
“16 Personalities” and “interaction styles”, I will be discussing the results of these tests and share my opinions on the results in this page.
I was able to get my personality tested by using www.16personalitites.com. This site provides accurate information about the type of personalities that an individual gain which can be required for the necessary job requirements. As, a result it guided me up to what personality I carry and what my strengths and weaknesses , career paths and work habits etc. According to the acquired results, the theme of my life is, ‘A process of accepting and helping others’, which is almost accurate to a considerable extent. |
To identify my personality type I took the 16 personality test. after taking the test I found out that my personality type is ESFJ - T (THE CONSUL). ESFJs are the individuals accept and help others. They respect leadership, and they are altruists, they will take their responsibilities seriously, while being supportive. They prefer authority, which allows them to be organized and stable. ESFJs strengths are, that they are strong managers of daily tasks and routine maintenance. Whereas, they make sure that their subordinates are taken care of. They often possess a strong sense of duty, and are considered extremely loyal. They depict strong communication skills as well. On the contrary, ESFJs are often worried about their status in the society. They are known to be too selfless, and can be sensitive to criticism, and are often too needy.
I strongly agree with the characteristics which were mentioned. I take my responsibilities very seriously, by trying my best to complete tasks successfully, within the given time frame. I value loyalty as a strong and vital characteristic of any individual. Further, I’m known to be helpful and sensitive towards others. However, I can be too selfless, when it comes to helping the ones in need.
The "Interaction Style" in which I have scored the highest is "Behind-the-Scenes (drive to get and integrated result)". People of this style focus on understanding and working with the people to create a positive outcome. They see value in many contributions and consult outside inputs to make an informed decision. They aim to integrate various information sources and accommodate differing points of view. They approach others with a quiet, calm style that may not show their strong convictions. Producing, sustaining, defining, and clarifying are all ways they support a group's process. They typically have more patience than most with the time it takes to gain support through consensus for a project or to refine the result.
- Get-Things-Going - 11
- Behind the Scenes - 22
- In charge - 7
- Chart the Course - 13
Again I agree with the results as it shows 80-90% of my interaction style. I always aim to get the best result possible and I am a friendly person. When working in a team I always support others and encourage their contributions. Although I have received highest scores for the behind the scenes range, as I have scored a considerable amount of marks for the other ranges as well, I can conclude that I have a bit of those qualities too. I find that these tests very helpful to learn about my personality type as well as my interaction style.
